Welcome at Mundo Fresh

Mundo Fresh was founded in June 2008 and therefore is a new and young company in the international fruits and vegetables business. The company may be new, but the people behind it have many years of experience importing and exporting fruits and vegetables, Bert-Jan Kemna and Jan Willem Tolhoek are the founders of Mundo Fresh and form the management team. Arie Hooimeijer, as co-founder, will work in the background as adviser. Together they have been working in this sector over 80 years.

Mundo means World in Spanish; Fresh is English. So, as the name suggests the company is internationally oriented. The core business is commercialization of fresh products grown all over the world. Our sales are all over Europe, but concentrated in Western and Eastern Europe. The head office is in Vleuten (near Utrecht), a very central location in the Netherlands, where the main North-South connection (highway A2) and East-West connection (highway A12) intersect.

In a market of fast consolidation and even larger scale clients, Mundo Fresh will make a difference, because we aim for the opposite. Key to our working style are specialization, personal service, high product quality, short communication lines, flexibility and excellent market knowledge. This differentiation will offer our customers the basis for a fruitful partnership.
